It is most commonly known as the snake plant, Saint George's sword, mother-in-law's tongue, and viper's bowstring hemp, among other names. Until 2017, it was known under the synonym Sansevieria trifasciata.
Light:
The Variegated Snake Plant does best in moderate to bright, indirect light environments, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Watering:
Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
Temperature:
The trifasciata Laurentii is happy in places with temperatures between 15°C and 23°C and can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C for short periods.
Humidity:
The Variegated Snake Plant will do fine in normal household humidity. Avoid humid locations but if brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.
Height & Growth Rate:
Sansevieria trifasciata Laurentii is a slow-growing plant and typically reaches an ultimate height of around 75cm to 1m.
Toxicity:
Sansevieria are mildly toxic if eaten. Keep away from children and animals. Do not consume.

Origin:
